So far this summer we have taken quite a few fun and impactful field trips. Our students have enjoyed these trips and everything that came along with them. At the St. Louis Science Center, the kids were able to experience many different things including learning about the skeletal system. We also had a magnificent trip to the Missouri Botanical Gardens.
Our students were able to view and learn about many different plants at one of the world’s best botanical gardens. Another opportunity was during safari week, when we had a conservation educator come in and teach us about snakes and other reptiles. Our students used a core pillar of Jackie Joyner-Kersee’s Winning in Life, risk taking, by touching and holding snakes! Lastly, we were fortunate enough to take our 12 and up to the University of Illinois for a college visit!
