RESPONSIBILITES:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Experience working with kids (school, camp, daycare, etc.),1-2 years required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willing to obtain
- Mandated Reporter certification, or willing to obtain
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High energy, positive attitude, and strong reliability
- Able to manage behavior and stay calm under pressure
- Team player who communicates well
- Must be able to stay active and engaged throughout the day
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is a short-term, high-impact program, so commitment matters:
- Must attend all training (June 2–5)
- Must be available for the entire camp season (June 8 – July 31)
- Attendance is critical—limited absences
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This role operates in a high-energy, youth-centered Summer Camp environment that includes both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Staff should expect frequent movement and active participation throughout the day, including walking, standing, running, bending, reaching, and engaging in recreational activities with youth.
- Must be able to supervise and remain attentive to groups of children in a variety of settings, including classrooms, gymnasiums, outdoor spaces, and during field trips.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25–30 pounds and assist with setting up or moving equipment and supplies as needed.
- Work environment may include exposure to varying weather conditions, moderate to high noise levels, and fast-paced transitions throughout the day.
- Must be able to respond quickly and effectively in emergency or high-stress situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Requires the ability to multi-task, stay organized, and maintain a positive attitude while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
