The Jackie Joyner Kersee Foundation and the JJK Center provide or partner to provide programming in the following areas:

We also partner with local agencies such as the City of East St. Louis, State of Illinois, State of Missouri, IDOT, MoDOT, and many more to provide meeting space for public affairs and community based-initiatives.

Summer Camp

Summer fun is better than ever with collaboration between the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center and the YMCA of Southwest Illinois. Summer camp provides a safe, educational and fun experience for the youth of East St. Louis.Learn More

Redbird Rookie

In partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cardinals Care program, The Redbird Rookie Program is a FREE developmental Spring/Summer baseball and softball program for youth ages of 5-14. Learn More

JJK Khoury Baseball & Softball

The JJK Khoury League is a Spring/Summer competitive Baseball and Softball program for boys and girls from the ages of 6-14. Games are played at the JJK Center and in the local Metro-communities. JJK Khoury is part of the National Khoury Organization.Learn More

Football & Cheerleading

The JJK Football & Cheerleading program is a comprehensive youth tackle football program with spirit cheerleading for each level. The JJK Jr. Flyers are part of the Tri-County Youth Football Conference. The program is for boys and girls ages 5-14.Learn More


Our soccer program in partnership with the US Soccer Foundation is a developmental soccer program for kids to learn the fundamentals of soccer and build strong social characteristics such as communication, cooperation, and the value of a team. The soccer program will also prepare youth for competitive soccer in the future.Learn More


The JJK Basketball league is a comprehensive recreational and developmental league for boys and girls ages 5-14. Individual and team skills will be emphasized. The program also provides opportunities to compete other local basketball leagues.Learn More

The East St. Louis Youth Project

The East St. Louis Youth Project, funded by the Greater East St. Louis Community Fund is a citywide athletic/recreational program for youth 6-24 years old.  The Program housed at:  Mason/Clark Middle School, Lincoln Middle School, Dr. Katie Wright Elementary School and the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center provide Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball/softball, Track, Wrestling, Golf and splash pool.Learn More
